The Women in Defence Charter was launched in the recognition within the defence enterprise that more needs to be done to improve gender balance.
The Women in Defence Charter has two levels of governance. On the first level is the Women in Defence Steering Board and on the second level are four Work Packages.
The Steering Board sets the strategic direction of the Charter. Work Packages take the strategic objectives and develop plans to deliver them within their area of responsibility.
