Richard Mckie, Head of Industrialisation, Europe - BAE Systems
Richard is currently Head of Industrialisation for BAE Systems AIR, with responsibility for Europe.
Previously, Richard was seconded from BAE Systems into the Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) as Programme Director. The DGP is an industry and government initiative to jointly develop the sector and to increase UK competitiveness in global markets. Prior to this appointment Richard was also seconded in to the Department for International Trade to develop joint government and industry defence export strategies,
Within BAE Systems Richard held the position of Director – Industrial Cooperation in Group Business Development where he developed industrial and offset strategies for key international markets.
Through his role in DGP Richard worked with fellow defence sector colleagues to establish the Women in Defence Charter of which he is a Steering Group member. This will be his 3rd year of being a Women in Defence UK Awards judge.
