PWC: Committed to advancing gender diversity in Defence

Ian Hillier – UK Defence Leader, PWC, shares his message of support

As MOD Leader at PwC, I take immense pride in our longstanding commitment to promoting gender diversity within our firm and the Defence sector. For years, PwC has been a key player in supporting initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive and contribute significantly to our industry. At PwC, diversity and inclusion are integral to our culture and operations. Our recent initiatives have led to women comprising 47% of our workforce and 42% of our partner admissions, with ambitious targets set for 2025 to further enhance gender balance.

The Defence sector is vital not only to national security but also to economic growth and innovation. With our deep-rooted relationship with this sector in the UK, we understand the pressing skills challenge that lies ahead. By cultivating diverse talent, we can enhance our capacity to tackle complex issues and drive positive change in defence and security.

We strive to be active allies, fostering an environment that champions equal opportunities and celebrates the achievements of women in Defence. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with stakeholders across the sector to ensure that we not only meet but exceed the expectations for diversity, ultimately creating a more inclusive and effective defence environment for all.
