  2. By entering the free prize draw you agree to these terms and conditions.

Eligibility to Enter

  1. To enter the prize draw you must be a nominator and have submitted your name and email address. A nominator is a person who has nominated an individual or team in one of the ten categories of the Women in Defence UK Awards 2020. If you have any questions about the prize draw, please email us at info@womenindefence.com.

  2. Only one entry per nominator.

  3. The prize draw is free to enter.

  4. Women in Defence UK accepts no responsibility for nominations that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete, unable to be delivered or not entered, and affected by any other technical reason.

  5. The closing date of the prize draw is the conclusion of the Awards nomination process on Friday 17 April at midnight. Entries received outside of this time period will not be considered. Women in Defence UK reserves the right to alter the closing date.

The Prize

  1. Two nominator winners per category will be chosen at random from a list of nominators from each of the ten Award categories.

  2. The ten categories are Inspirational, Outstanding Contribution, Most Collaborative, Special, Equality of Opportunity, Emerging Talent, Unsung Heroines, Innovation, STEM in Defence and Inclusive Teamwork.

  3. The nominator winners will be notified via the email address they provided when they nominated a person.

  4. Each nominator winner will win one ticket to the Women in Defence UK Shortlisting Conference to be held in the United Kingdom. The location and date are yet to be confirmed.

  5. To be eligible for the prize, nominator winners must respond to the prize notification message within two weeks. Failure to respond within the requested period will result in the prize being forfeited by the prize winners. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms and conditions, the winner's prize will be forfeited, and Women in Defence UK shall be entitled to select another winner. Women in Defence UK reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner.

  6. Unless expressly stated within these terms and conditions, all other expenses relating to the prize are the responsibility of the nominator winner. For the avoidance of doubt, the prize excludes any costs for transport, travel, accommodation, spending money, meals, travel documentation and insurance, other than specified.

  7. Women in Defence UK reserves the right to substitute the prize (or any part of the prize) for a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its reasonable control. There is no cash alternative to the prizes (or any part of the prizes) and, unless Women in Defence UK agrees otherwise in writing, the prize is non-transferable.

Women in Defence UK further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the prize draw. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of Women in Defence UK for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
